Well like the title says, ive been having issues with this part slipping out of the air intake whenever I even check the air filter and saw today that it was very flimsy at the connector base and the rubber was starting to crack. Wanting to replace it however Ive searched all through my Haynes manual, several diagrams, and all over the internet and just cannot figure out what is this thing!

It appears to be a sensor, but im not 100%. It leads to around the oil cap.

Thanks.

Mine always was loose too from taking my Intake on and off. I put a plastic tie wrap on mine to keep it on.

^ That is EXACTLY what I did with mine. Small tie-wrap at the base of the inlet keeps it from slipping out and/or getting loose and sucking air.
