No, wrong style.

You can just go to Advance Auto Parts (if you have them locally), and get a "EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor." They are $50.

are you sure? the one on ebay is for the newer 4.0s!! I have a 1994 4.0L and mine took the other one you suggested, and if I'm not mistaken the 1996 and newer used that other one... just look at yours and see what it looks like!!!

looking for a DPFE sensor and i found this one on ebay. does anyone know if this will work on my 96 xlt 4.0???? the auction says it will but can't always trust what they say.. thanks. i have noticed that there is a series of numbers on these sensors, is there a specific serial number for my year/engine??

There is a part number on your stock one. Pull it off and you'll find it.

The one Rob posted in the pic will not fit your 96 (connector is wrong). Yes they don't make the metal version any more, only plastic. The part number you need for yours is F77Z9J460AB.

I just bought one from NAPA and is the same one that is pictured above. Cost $52.00 NAPA part # 2-19200.
I had not installed mine yet, got to wonder if it was the right one for sure. Well IT IS. I just went out and changed it, took all of 15 minutes, also cleaned the IAC while I was at it.

hey i want to thank everyone for the assistance in pinpointing my problem. it was the dpfe sensor. i replaced it today and the engine light went away and hasn't come back. thanks again. tony

sweet, I had the same problem and replaced the same part on my 1994 OHV 4.0L
