I want to play video from my iPhone on the MFT screen.

I purchased a iSimple cable http://isimplesolutions.com/connector-cables-OmniWire-IS79.aspx

The issue I am having is that when I select AV, I see video pop up for a second and sound plays.

Video stops playing, sound continues...I then get a message about unplugging all USB from media hub. There is nothing else plugged in.

I then take the RCA plugs out and plug them on to the RCA connectors on my rear DVD players and it works just fine.

Has anyone else seen this?

I have a 2012 Limited with the MFT update loaded.

That cable is way over priced. From my research, you need a cable with combined RCA and USB. They are about $20 on Amazon. Here is where it gets tricky. As Apple updates iOS, they put in security to prevent unauthorized accessories. Some cables have the proper chip in the cable and others don't, so some will continue to work, others won't. You need something like this: http://www.amazon.com/WizCrafter-Ig...EESO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333241250&sr=8-2

And you can only play video while parked.

And you can only play video while parked.
The most important part.

When playing a video on the main MFT screen, don't plug the device into the USB, only the Aux ports.

I found the ability to play video pretty useless for me as I never sit in the car to watch videos.

While I am in park and only plugged in to Aux ports is when I have the issue.

I will watch videos while waiting in the car for people.

Still find it strange that this cable I purchased works on the DVD players in the back and works on my TV in the house...but not on MFT

Wish I tried this before upgrading the MFT software to see if the issue has anything to due with the update.

If you read the apple forums, this is a very common problem. The cables output to some devices and not others. In some cases it's a faulty cable, so maybe you can try to exchange it. Also, have you tried having it plugged in before turning on the vehicle? And are you hitting the source icon in the app to make sure the app is using the correct source? Lastly, after it's all connected and playing the audio portion of the video, try changing to FM and then back to AV.

I think I will try a different cable...I tried plugging it before and after the car was on.

Switching to another source then back does the same thing.... video for a second...then just sound.

I have been looking around in the local stores and it seems that they do not cary iPhone to RCA.

Might have to mail order one.

got it working....had to disconnect my phone from bluetooth.

All works now video, netflix, youtube, sling box.

That's great to hear. Kind of inconvenient, but at least it works!
