Well i finaly did it. I drove my lazy azz up to four wheel parts and threw away around 2 grand. I put my order in for the 6in superlift with the super runner braket kit and all. It sould be in the air by the end off this month. At least thats what there telling me. Now my only problem is I gotta but on a body lift in this cold azz weather so I can run 35s. How hard is it to put a body lift on a first gen and how many hours can i expexct to be in the freezing cold to do it? I've always done the minor repairs on my truck so i feel i'm pretty go at working on things. Any idea would help. I'll post pics once i get it done in the 1st of Feb.

it isnt too hard.... you basically need a floor jack, socet set, big ole breaker bars, and a bunch of wood blocks to add height to the jack's movement.... you loosen all the body mount bolts.... lift the body wit the jack , and toss in the new spacer... then lower the jack, and tighten everything down.... you must also extend linkages etc.....

I didn't know that superlift made a 6" kit. Thought it was only a 5.5". Also, if you don't mind trimming, you could probably fit 35's with no body lift. That is what I am going to try and do. I will probably have to do the body lift any way because I am going to get an atlas II, and I need the clearance. I only want like a 1" b.l. though.
Are you putting on the superlift your self, or what? I put on my skyjacker, was pretty easy.

I think 4wheelparts lists the superlift 5.5" as a 6". Not sure what its so hard to say 5.5, but nobody has every accused them of being geniuses.

It could take you anywhere from 4 to about 8 hours to complete. It depends on how easy everything works out and if you have all the tools. Air tools really help to save time as well. And like Andy said, you may not even need a 3" b.l. to fit 35's. You could get glass fenders instead.

I agree, save the trouble of the BL and try to fit the 35s on 15x8 inch rims without it.

You could probably fit 35's without a body lift but it would need some serious trimming. I have 35's with a 6" superlift kit and a 3" body lift and I still had to trim the front fenders. I am running a 15x8" wheel with 3.75" backspacing with 35x12.50x15" MTR's. Good luck!

sweet truck man . Actually 4wheel parts is putting the lift on the 28 & 29th of jan. I paid foor it all up front. I friend of mine has some 35s monted on 15x8 wheels that we are going to trial fit before i do the body. It would be nice not to have to do it but if i do thats cool to. I just want to be able to run with the big boys agian.
And i figure 35s w/ 4:56 gears detroit e-z lock front and rear should allow me to do it just a litte bit. hehe
