Update... The Jet product doesn't replace any of the Motorcraft TM- parts, it's a completely different item.
So far, I've only been able to find two products by Motorcraft, but Amazon states that either of these will work on my 2003 Ford Explorer... The TM-165 and the TM-152... The 165 is going for $115.99 and the 152 is for $113.99. These prices are way below the prices I found earlier this week (surfing this forum), which were stating a price around $240-$270.....
Any HELP with which one????
Thanks to this site, I found information about my 2003 Explorer Transmission issues. After my research, I found that many others having the same issue with their Explorer Transmission, I now know I need to replace the 4x4 transmission module (found either behind the glove box or under the dash passenger side). The 3 part numbers to research are TM-152, TM-153, or TM-165, which are used on different Ford transmissions.
My trans is a 4 speed with OD (5 speed).
However, I ran across a Jet product that's identified as a Transmission Module replacement.
My question is "can this Jet product replace the Ford OEM product?"
I know that Jet products are high performance products, so I'm assuming that if this Jet part can replace the Ford, it must also enhance performance?
Any thoughts or suggestions out there (new updates)?
