Well, I am Jimbo...aka Jimbo1221. I am new to this forum, considering I just bought a 1998 Ford Explorer 5.0L XLT AWD on Sunday 8/6/06. I have been lurking around for a couple days, thanks to the referal from my good buddy Rob...aka Rocket 5975. Me and him have been working on his Project Kenne Bell Explorer a lot lately. I already lurked around for awhile and found his thread he created, and it is pretty much up to date, besides the fact that we pulled the transmission and driveshaft tonight. We will get back to work on it tomorrow pulling out the gas tank and related lines. I am usually the guy Rob is referring to when he speaks of him and others; our other buddy never helps out anymore - pretty sketchy character, but none-the-less, a good guy. I will be doing some modifications to my explorer: TM Headers, High Flow Cats, H or X Pipe (haven't decided), and custom dual exhaust into either Flowmasters or Borlas, Cold Air Intake, Chip, and Custom Dyno Tuned. These will be the beginning modifications to my Explorer for the time being. If any of you have any questions or need anything, shoot me a PM or AIM me at BuBBaJ2112. I am very experienced (mechanically) in Jeep YJ Wranglers (1987 - 1995), Volkswagen's (all models and years after 1995), and Harley Davidson's (I own a 2006 HD Sportster XL1200 Low with a few modifications pushing it down the 1/4 mile in 12.7 seconds).
I will be around, posting and lurking, gaining more knowledge on the Explorer's...and foremost, me and Rob will keep you guy's updated on how our projects are going.
