Anybody else feeling a nervous, jittery ride above about 60mph? Is this likely the result of a stiff suspension and no cargo load? It's a vibration that I imagine is similar to how it would feel if a wheel were out of balance...or maybe even a warped driveshaft or something. In any event, I feel like it comes from the rear of the vehicle since none of the vibration translates to the steering wheel. I honestly can't remember feeling this on any test drive, but I have no idea whether I'd have been tuned into it anyway, if it was present. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the subject.

Nope... just did 80 MPH on my way to work this morning ;) No worries at all!

same here...completely smooth sailing at all highway speeds.

Hopefully it is as simple as a thrown wheel weight. If you think it is in the rear, you could rotate the tires and see if it comes to the front and through the steering wheel. If so, it would be a lost weight, warped wheel (any curb encounters?), or the long shot of a tire going bad and seperating.

good luck

Hmm, good thought. Wheel weights all look present and accounted for, but I think I will switch front/back and see what happens, before I go asking for'em all to be re-balanced. Wheel/Tire run-out I can handle, no doubt.

My big fear was that someone would reply with something like "Yeah, that's a TSB xxxxxx on the entire rear diff getting ready to explode."

That's one hell of a TSB! :) I think rotating might help trouble-shoot...

And the culprit is...

...Bad belt in right rear tire. Was going to rotate'em myself and see what happened, but my schedule didn't cooperate. So I just dropped it off at dealership for the day. Asked if they would check/rebalance the tires. They found a "bad belt" in one of the tires. Don't know what that means, but it was causing the tire to not roll true. Tire being replaced under warranty. I'm so glad they found something, because I was starting to think I was imagining things (my 3 year old daughter was the only other person that agreed with me that there was avibration...she said "it's bumpy in here"). Appreciate your input.

Glad to hear you got things all straightened out! :)

Vibration

YES....I have had my 2006 V8/6 spd trans. in at least 4 times now for a vibration that occurs between 65-70 mph...still no solution, but a real irritating issue! There at least 2 TSB's out on this vibration.

3 days after I got my 07 EB we went to the outer banks and had it on the beach (see photo below).

Anyway, the place we were staying was only about a mile up the road. So the night before we left the OBX, we left the beach, drove to the house, parked, and the next morning started home. When the car got up to speed it was shaking bad. The DVD player, everything shook like crazy. I was afraid it was a wheel weight or worse and I still had 6 hours to drive. Then we stopped at a Sonic drive in and while we had ice cream I looked and the insides of the rims were packedwith huge amounts of sand. The sand was kinda moist the day before and I guess we didn't drive far enough for it to spin off. I poked it out with a plastic spoon and then noticed there was a pressure wash car wash behind the sonic. A quick squirt to the wheels and it was smooth as silk again.

I didn't realize they had changed the V8 badges on the 07 EB. I had only seen the side emblems on my sister in law's 07 orange Ironman. My 06 only have the rear emblem.
