Hey guys, I have a JL Advantage (similar to the MTX Thunderform, and Q-Logic Q-Form box) that goes behind the rear plastic trim with 1 10" MTX Thunder 6000 sub. I am wanting to upgrade to 1 12" sub in a box I am making, and I am just wanting to see how much I could get for this box and sub. If you are interested please let me know and make me an offer. When I find someone who is serious about buying it, then I will pull it out of my truck to ship it out. I also have the grille that goes over the sub and I have put tan grille cloth over it to match the interior. It doesn't match exactly but looks really close. So, if you are interested, please post here so I can get the best offer on it. Also, if you have any questions, please fell free to ask.

I am very interested! How old is the sub and box. Does that have an amp in the same area or is is just a custom fitting box and sub?
Thanks,
Rob

I got the sub about 6 months ago, right after I bought the box used from someone one this board. The box is in perfect condition. It doesn't have the built in amp it was powered by a seperate MTX amp. Please let me know how much you are willing to pay for it, and maybe we can work something out. If you want you can e-mail me. Also, to anyone else interested I accept paypal.

Yeah I am still interested. Do you want to sell both the sub and the box. Would you sell them individual? What kind of money are you looking for. They are close to 450 new or so. Sooo what would be a good price? 250? 300? Just let me know what you are thinking about.

Well I just checked Crutchfield and it is 300 new. So would have price be appropiate since it is used has no warranty and stuff. Tell me what you think? I am interested though.

Would you sell the box separate from the sub?

Ok, to answer your questions, I would rather sell them together. And the JL advantage is not the stelthbox, it is similar (not made of fiberglass, I think its polyethylene, its pretty rigid). The box is exactly the same material as both the MTX and Q-Logic boxes. How does $240 for everything sound(that includes shipping, as long as you are in the lower states)? I think I paid around $15-20 for shipping. Tell me what you think.

how does 200 sound?

Let me see if anyone else is interested, but if I can't get anything more, I will tell you about it.

sure

Ok, how about $200 + shipping? Give me your zip code so I can figure out how much the shipping is going to be.

29710

Ok, I checked it out and for ground shipping it will be about $15. So, $215 is the total price. Do you still want it? E-mail me if you do, and we can exchage addresses and you can get the payment out and I can pull the box out this week and get it ready to ship out. Thanks

What state do you live in? I have to get permission from parents (I'm 16) give me a day and I will let you know.

I have a 2000 XLT with the Premium Sound package. You know the cd and tape headunit? Does it have a factory pre-out for adding an amplifier. That would be neccesary for the sub right? Please input of direct me to where the info is found because that is a big factor in the deal. How much power are you running to the run currently? Sound good? Thanks in advance.

I live in TN, what do you mean by give you a day? Do you mean give you a day to let me know if you still want it? If that is what you mean, just as soon as you can. I just need to know so I can pull it out of my truck and ready to ship.

I doubt that your cd player has a pre-amp output. You could get a high to low pass converter (available at any car audio store or best buy, circut city) and you just splice the wires on the converter into the speaker wires going to your stock speakers and then there are RCA lines coming out of the converter, and you run those to an amp. I am running roughly 200 watts to it.

give me till the end of the day and I will give you a definite answer whether or not I can purchase it. I posted another thread about the preout and the said I need a "line out converter." Have you had any experience with that? Will is sound okay. Thanks for all your help.

The line out converter is the thing I mentioned in the other post, although I called it a High-to-low converter, which is another name for it. Here's a pic of it:

On the left side of it, you run the speaker wires to it, then you run your rca cables form the right side to your amp. You will need to get some little connectors that clamp down on the speaker wire, then let you run another wire to the converter. DO you know what I am talking about? If not, I can try and get a pic of it somewhere.

Thanks for all of your help, but I don't think I am going to buy the sub. I think I will wait so I can do the sub, the amp, and a new headunit all at once. Thanks for all your help. Good luck selling it!
