JL w7?

Good place to find one of these babies CHEAP, i know that might be hard to do?

Or a good place to find any JL subs cheap? Also an JL amp to match...

ebay is your best bet.

E-bay is where I got mine and my amp. But if you go with e-bay then forget your warrenty. If I had a chance to do it a second time then I would have spent the extra 200 in a store for a warrenty. Also if you are not looking for a hard pounding competition style subwoofer then do not waste your money on a W7, there is no let up for your ears, at high or low levels with even running it with half of what the sweet spot is.

If you are really going to push that woofer, you will need a JL Audio 1000/1 to run it. If your not really wanting to spend $1700 for 1 amp and 1 woofer, I would go with a w6 or something... just my opinion.

But the cheapest place will be ebay... but like roadenforcer said.. make sure you get a warranty.

OK, i will be sure to get a warrenty with my purchase!

Im not really looking for a competition sub, just somthing that hits hards but not really hard. Im afraid the w7 may be to much and spending more money than i want?!

I'll look at the w6's and see what i can come up with.

I have a Eclipse Aluminum 15 DVC inch for sale if your interested. I only had it for 3 months. Asking $350 but will take best offer.

I also have a JL Audio 12w3 in a Prowedge box made by JL Audio. Asking $200.

I bought my w7 from www.sound4less.com it was the cheapest site I could fine. I bought my JL 500/1 amp from www.audio-trader.com its currently on sale.

Last night i went to Tweeter to check out the new W7's. They only had the 10" hooked up and boy was i shocked!!!

The sub was running off a 500/1 JL amp, i never heard a 10" sub pound so hard! That sub hit's harder then my two RF 12" HX2's running off a RF800.2 amp.

I was thinking about the 12 W7, but the 10" will be plenty fine...

BTW guys, you can turn any sub into a Comp sub with the right know how!

Some subs, just don't allow you to turn it into a competition woofer. Since Shizaun posted that audio site, I might be able to get another w7 alittle quicker then I thought. Usally going with a single 10" sub would make people laugh at you but with the W7 thats a good choice DonM.

Yeah man, that 10" was really doing some pounding!! I dont think i would even want to hear what the 12" sounds like.

When i was checking the subs out at Tweeters, the room they had the box in was... about 9x9ft! That sub should sound even better in the back of my X.

ya don im currently running my 10" off the 500/1 jl amp and if i turn it to loud i know ill blow out my back window its powerful.......its worth the money....i hope everyone enjoys those sites i posted they have good prices

Well for the first time since ive been into car audio, i just went out and spent more then ive ever spent on a system! Plus i even had them install everything. Which ive all ways done, just to save money.

I bought the 10"w7 and the JL500/1 amp. It was a little more then what i wanted but im very happy with the way it sounds. Boy does that sub HIT!!

I was just gonna find someone on Ebay, but i feel so leary buying stuff from people i dont know. Ya never know what yer buying. So i just went and spent a few more $$$ just to make sure i got the real thing.

Good choice don im sportin the same system in my explorer its powerhouse be careful not to blow out that back window

No need to worry about blowing out the back window, start worrying about glass cracking when the 12" w7 is hitting with 750 watts or when you have two W7s

tru i didnt know how it was for normal glass people i just went wit fiber glass long before i got my w7..
