Job 1 motors are pre June, 24, '01, they had issues with the intake manifold gaskets and timing chain tensioners. The oil filler neck is on the driver side.

Job 2 new design with alot less issues, the filler neck is on the passenger side.

i thought job 1 was pre june 00

Nope, they had them in the ST until 6/01 and then switched to the better, upgraded Job 2 motors.

so can you put a job 2 tensioner in a job one motor?

?

Hey Rebel, the FAQ Sticky at the start of this forum lists the cuttoff date at June 24th 2000. I've got an '01 Trac built in 12/00 according to the sticker. My Oil Filler neck is on the passenger side. So basically, I thought I had a Job 2, but it's a Job1? Crap! What all do I need to be looking out for? :wtf:

Not sure if I typed in the wrong number or what but if your filler neck is on the right side then you have a Job 2 motor.
