Unless I carefully feather the throttle, I very often feel a jolt when starting from a stop or low speed coast. It seems transmission related, as I can feel it going from 1st to 2nd and somewhat 3rd. It is especially noticeable if I get on the throttle quickly from a stop (such as a left turn), though I don't do this often. It's almost like a minor lag from pressing the gas to the tranny engaging.
I've driven other cars and understand that if you pay attention you can feel the gears shifting, however it seems much more pronounced in my Explorer. Almost to the point where passengers would think I am an un-smooth driver.
Anyone have any experience with this? Could it possibly just be computer related? I know the throttle on these new cars are driven by a computer which adjusts itself based on how you drive (pretty pointless to me)
