Jumps out of gear...

my five speed transmission has been rebuilt/adjusted/ three times and it still pops out of 3rd gear. It will stay in gear while you are at a constant speed or slowing down. Put it under load and it jumps out most of the time.

It has a new synchro and third gear, new output shaft, everything looks new or is new. What are we missing?

Anyone hear of a similar problem?

my 4speed in my old 150 was doing the same thing changed the synchronizer still the same, changed the shaft and was fixed. sounds like may-be they took you for a ride? isit possible the trans housing is out of wack, did you take it to a machine shop?

Took it to a local fix it anything or type shop. The original shaft was replaced due to some minor scoring and it was also causing "singing" a little. The synchro looked good but it occasionally "ground" when going from 3 to 4. They replaced the synchro and it shifts butter smooth, quiet, and as long as your hand is on the shifter (not forcing it into gear, just on it) will stay in gear as you accelerate hard. If your hand is off the shifter as you do this it will pop out of gear. This is still going on as we were hoping it would wear into place without another tear down.

sence you already paid for everything just take it back and make then fix it right. I sure for what you paid you probable could have went to a junk yard and got a farily good used one, so I wouldn't give them anymore money and be firm but not real nasty.
