- 2006 Mountaineer Premier
I've never been any good at introductions, so here goes:
I like to wrench on vehicles, or I lose my sanity. Of course, when I wrench on them, I also lose it, so I can't win anyways. My heart is with Saabs, but I also have a soft spot for Fords. I own a 1995 F-150, but it's falling apart, so I needed a new "work truck" to tow around my enclosed trailer. I picked up this 2006 Mercury Mountaineer Premier from Copart:
and am in the process of bringing it back to life! This is how it looks right now:
(Not going to lie- I expected that bumper would need to be repainted to look right, but the two tone effect actually looks really good)
So, I'm about halfway done with the rebuild, so I'll have plenty of questions in getting her back on the road again, and how to get the most from her when I'm done. Compared to my 1995 F-150 with the 300, towing with this hs me excited
