I just bought a'99 Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC 4x4.It seems to run well,but the previous owner's idiot buddy bounced he front end off a tree at slow speed. The bumper,grill,header panel are damaged but the rad support is still straight and it goes straight down the road. The next day I found a '97 XLT that was rear-ended but the whole front clip is good.It's even the same color! Should I buy the whole clip or just the parts I need, and am I right in assuming that they interchange.The bumper doesn't have the fog lights but I can live with that

The day after I got the truck I found a guy who 's parting out a '98.I'm getting the whole front clip for $300 ! My previous ride was a Kia Sportage and you can't find anything new or used for them , especially in the aftermarket.The Explorer is more comfortable,way more power(4l sohc),but not as nimble. I really do prefer to shift gears manually, but that 5 spd gearbox is amazing
