Just Changed Transfer case fluid... have a question

It only took about a quart and a half to fill up my transfer case. Thats about how much came out. I just thought there would be more in there. I used Valvoline Dextron III Mercon ATF, that is correct, right?
Anyone who can confirm That I did this correctly would be great.

no worries you are correct the xfer case also shares fluid with the tranny but it is such a small amount that you have to fill it also kinda like the old broncoII w/the a4ld the hole is at the bottom of the tailshaft housing and is just big enough to get a tooth pic in

1 and half bottle is about right. When I did mine I tried to squeeze the last extra half quart in there. Juuussst to be sure its full.
