Just cleaned MAF, clean TB too???

Ok quick question. I just cleaned my MAF with gumouth tb and injector cleaner. Now I was just reading hte bottle and to clean the tb take of the intake hose, and start your engine. Then it says to open up the throttle and spray a few 10 second bursts in the TB. That will clean your TB and injectors. Has anyone done this? will it help? will it hurt? any help would be great.

I did not ear any thing about hurting the motor or whatever. You just open throttle and spray in, you do have to raise throttle because the spray is kind of hard to burn and engine want's to die. I never had a 10 sec burst(engine near to die), but yes it does some kleaning. When I changed my valve cover gasket, I cleaned all the inside of the intake like new because I had to unbolt it, with the tb cleaner from the outside it wont get bright new but get out the big gum.

yeah you just spray that crap in there and then watch your tailpipe as all the gross stuff puffs its way out
