WOOHOO:bounce: I just did the TT, Shackles and Rancho 9000's yesterday. It was so easy! I'm so excied. The hardest part was getting to the top of the left rear shock. I had to take out some kind of metal plate with a box on top, and a couple of hoses and electrical wires going to it. It was above the spare tire on the left side. Does anyone know what that thing is/does? Also, what kind of hardware does Ford use? All the hardware on the old shocks was neither metric or standard. I had to beat on various sizes of sockets to get them to work.
The difference in ride quality is AMAZING!!! It handles and rides like it should have straight from the factory. It also now sits at the height it should have come from the factory too (without the rear end sag).
Also, I need an alignment. (I needed one before the lift). I have called around and it looks like it will be around $45-60. But they say if I need shims it will be closer to $100-110. Is that right? I heard somewhere that only 94 and down use shims. Is that true? Has anyone had an alignment done lately?
