i recently ordered a PA 3 inch body lift and i got it a little bit ago. I am 16 and installed the entire thing myself with a little guidence from my dad in just two days. it lookes great i love it. My explorer now sits at 6'5" at the roof. I didnt hit any problems and i didnt use the steering shaft extender. It drives fine, a few ruff spots in the steering but thats fine with me. just wanted to let you all know it looks great and if you were questioning if you could do it id say go for it. Good Luck

Congrats man, have any pics? That was the first thing I did was a PA 3" body lift and 31s also. Then the tires were not big enough so I got 32s. Then it was not high enough so I got a 4" suspension lift. Then the tires again were not big enough so I got 33s. Then it was not high enough so I did an SOA with 5.5" coils in the front. Now the tires are not big enough.......... :( :D

i have 32x11.50 and they look good. but my dad and i were talking about that today. i told him i wanted to do a spring over conversion and straight axle up front. we have the axlea and everything. he was like then you need bigger tires. and i said id need a bigger engine. he said different gears. i said rollcage, he said good luck.. its just proof that the offroad bug never dies.

CONGRATS! just finished mine too and got 32s also...check mine out and yes, i have since put the rear bumper back on)

my steering is rough at spots too, and the truck is slow as molasses but i already have plans for that.

Yeah.......

You and I lucked out. No problems here. I was a little hesitant to start while udmsvt was still having his problems.

Its true, once you start hard to stop. Mine was stock 3 months ago. It's now performance mods for me. I'm high enough for a while at least.......

just curious did you have any rubbing at all with the 32s? i have the f 250 spacers and the shackles and with the lifts the 32s were rubbin up front. i trimmed a little bit of the body and plastic with a dremmel. its all good now and looks good to but i was just curious if you have or had any rubbing problems, my tires are 32x11.50 BTW. thanks

yeah, i did and do have rubbing. but see, i also need an alignment , my tires kinda look like / \

on the pass side, i just hacked off a little platic trim and all was well. on the drivers side, i hacked off a considerable amount of plastic trim but there is a metal piece that i didnt remove that rubs the tire when i cut it left. its only when the wheel is turned most of the way, but i will be looking at that tomarrow....i just finished my intake and wires.

i am suprised that you have rub with a 3" BL, spacers and shackles. alot of people run this with 33x12.5 and no problems...then again, some people can run 31s w/o any lift and some cant. usually sports cant. what size rims you running? that may have something to do with it. also keep in mind that my 32s are pretty worn, i bought them used for 150.

well i trimmed the body and no rub at all even at full flex

thats good to hear. how much did you have to take off? i want to go big (like 6") but wont have the money any time soon and these used 32s will not be suitable come winter. i figure as long as i will be getting new tires in dec, i might as well get 33s but iu cant fit them yet...debating between Duff 2.5" or AAL/Shackles/spacers....will probably go with the cheaper of the two.

i have never pulled the front apart, but how hard are the spacers to do? also , what about AAL (or dont you have one?

i figure the spacers will give 1.5-2" in front, but the rear already sags about 1" so between the AAL and shackles, i should level out.
