After searching for someone to swap springs with for sooo long, I finally found a guy. And last night I got my SOA done. Very happy with it. Gained 2 1/2 inches in the rear, now I just have to get the front suspension done. Things I learned:
1. The hammer is your friend
2. Tow straps have more than 2 uses
3. Leaf springs are ***ing heavy
4. The Dremel tool is proof that God wants us to be happy!

Other than that, I had fun and am very pleased with the results and want to say thanks to John who made it all possible:D
Pics can be seen in my sig, and I will have a side shot for before and after tomorrow.

Awesome Caleb!

i think he means more than he had.

I had 4" springs with Warrior shackles in there before the SOA. And the rear sat about 1/2 in higher than the front. So now that I think about it, I really gained 2 inches over what I had before  hehe, I can count...

looks good:)

keep up the good work

i seen that ur lugguage racks wouldnt let u out of the garage lol

PEACE

yeah.......:D But Mr. Hammer took care of that the next morning:cool:

added two more pics of the shock mounts. Also realized today that I am going to have to invest in a new rear brake line if I want any flex at all

hey caleb, you got any side shots outside so we can see the difference? after ya put the 6" in the front it will all be even! good thing the SOA didn't give ya anymore than it did!

I have a side shot before the SOA, but its down in Charlotte at my apartment. But I emailed the guy that I swapped springs with because I had sent him that pic so he could see the springs, and asked him if he could forward it back to me so I could do a before and after shot. And hopefully I will find a place this week that will strip and powdercoat the front suspension compnents so I can plan on getting that put on. Then all will be well.......for a little while anyhow:rolleyes:

hey dude ur names Caleb too

SWEEEEEEEEEEET:D

hehe
PEACE

yes i know off topic but o well

lol, haha
I had noticed that too in your first post, but every time that I was typing a reply, I completly forgot to say anything about it!
Hope the name does not carry the same bad memory that I have with it!

Shock mount

Whos shock mount did you use? Did you make it? I like the placement of the shock. Do you have any more pics of the shock mount you can share? (or send me?)

Looks Good

Thanks

Thanks, I didnt think the SL brackets had a shock mount on them. Its been a while since Ive seen them. Hmmm.

Steve, yeah like Taxxman said, those are Superlift brackets. I got them off a guy that was selling them on here awhile ago. I can snap some more pics of them tomorrow for you.

Xplorer, there is not a bad memory in particular, I just have a horrible time remembering things! But if you ever need something to be forgotten, tell me. I am great at that!

Yup. Nice but not worth they money. It is a $100 + kit and the only thing you use is the perches/shock mounts, I guess it makes it easier but you can get cheap perches and shock mounts from other places that are just as good. I used the Superlift perches, but would go a cheaper route next time.

EDIT: used you can't beat that!:D

Well thats what I want to do, but the shock placement has been bothering me. I need to keep the sway bar and the superlift seems to move the mount over far enough to be able to do that.

I have MORE perches, and a set of stock shock mount/u-bolt plates that I think im going to fab into the shock mounts- just liked the location I saw. I want the shocks down as far as I can go without getting under the axle and this placement just looks good to me. Ill probably do something similar.

Pics would be nice thanks.
