Hello everyone, I am new here, and just thought I would say Hi. My Dad just gave me an Explorer that he got in a clean-up job and I'll just say that it's gonna need some work to make it legal, and drive-able. I figured I'd get on this forum for help as I take the steps over the next few months to figure out all that's wrong with it, and hopefully build it into a beaut. More to come as I get pictures uploaded, and I'll be asking for help when I need it. So Howdy from Austin, TX!

This is soooo funny.. I also have a 99 Sport that I got after a couple of years of sitting apparently and there were a number of items that needed to be addressed.. I am also in Austin...

My truck had a lack of maintenance so the sludge built up in the pan and valve covers, rust and a dead fuel pump in the tank, and a tranny that is in need of new fluid and some serious filtering and cooling..

I bought this truck to swap in a V8 from one of my first Ranger conversions but I am really having fun making the original drivetrain work so the V8 is on the engine stand and the tranny is waiting for another donor...

But I am having a blast with this truck... I have started modding it since it was lacking a few amenities... Working radio, satellite radio, bluetooth phone interface, sub and power amp, puddle lamps and mirrors, etc...There are all sorts of options and toys that you can or may want to add to your truck...
