New here and wanted to say hello. I just picked up (yesterday) a black 02 XLT. Black, leather, sunroof, 4 x 4, 3rd row and some other stuff. I don't know how PC it is to post prices on here but I got it for 15,200. The thing is perfect. Seemed like a pretty good deal. After reading some posts on here it seems like some don't like the new ones that much. I don't plan on any heavy off roading but love the snow and go snowboarding a lot on days that it does. I wanted something nice to get me there safe. Interested in some trail driving as well.

Question - I did a search and there seems to be some confusion on tire sizes on the 02 + models. I want to put some of those Wrangler MT/R' s on there and want to know how big I should go. I was thinking about 255/70/16. Just want a larger tire to give it a more rugged look and handle in the snow. Please let me know. I would love to see some pics of 02+ with no lift and bigger tires. Also, anyone ever put fog lights in a 02 that didn't have them? Stock or not.

Thanks.

Welcome to the site.. The question about bigger tires on the 3rd generation has been asked numerous times & answered numerous times.. Look at the photo gallery of BenS..

I believe he had a set of 285/75/16 on it but they were half worn down.. Also, please try the search function before posting questions, sometimes the question may have already been asked & answered.

Thanks. I did a search but maybe didn't do it that clear. The results I found had people saying that maybe the larger tires don't rub on the street but off roading may. That truck looks good. I don't know anything about truck tires so I thought maybe someone could break it down for me a little better. What do you think of the MT/R's?
