I recently inherited a Explorer XLT that my parents bought brand spanking new in 1991. It currently has 150k on the clock and now what I assume to be a bad fuel pump. Which is what brings me here. In either case, just thought I'd say hello and start browsing through the forums to try and find some help to get my rig back on the road. Maybe a few mods along the way, who knows.

Hey whats going on new guy. Cant beat getting a free X. Sounds like yur off to good start knowing the whole life of the X. As far as fuel pump replacemant, I just finished doing mine a couple week ago. Its hard if the strap and skid plate bolts are rusted but your profile says AZ so im sure you wont have much of a rusted bolt problem. Good luck!

Good to have another Arizonan on board:chug:

welcome

Well im sure Idado can't be as bad as a Michigan winter where I live now . Micigan uses way to much salt in the winter on the roads LOL. I'm counting on finding a rust free X when i get to Colorado and just work on my Michigan ride as a little resto project.

welcome to the site.
