Hey whats up, my name is Kellen. I'd just like to start off by saying that I am a Chevy guy converted Ford. I have converted for reasons that most probably wouldn't consider a reason and that is because Chevy sold-out to the govt/ went bankrupt. I wish they would've just fallen off the grid for these two reasons and refuse to ever buy a Chevy ever again. But any who, I just purchased my first suv Which is a 2000 Explorer Sport and so far it exceeds my expectations (again being a former Chevy guy I didn't know what to expect) but so far so good and I'm loving the four-wheel-drive.
I found that I really enjoy working on my motorcycle so I plan on trying to do all the work on my truck, or at least all the work that I'm able to. Not only does it save you some dough but there is also this satisfaction you get which is great. I am going to be changing my lbj's this week so we will see how it goes. I've been doing my research and it seems like it should go pretty smoothly. Now for the newbie question on lubes and greases and oils etc. What kind of grease is recommended for ball joints and what are the "general" lubes, greases, and oils that every working garage should have? Any help would be great. Thanks a lot.
