So found an auction on ebay for $399.99 'Buy It Now' and had to jump on it. Haven't seen it anywhere for less then $599. I should have it this week. :D

The real reason I posted was to see if anyone ran into any problems installing this kit? Any good install tips?

Thanks in advance!

Well finally got the exhuast put on. Was a pain to get the old one off but after that everything went pretty smooth. I LOVE the sound! No drone on the freeway at all. I would recommend this to everyone!

That is a great price!! What was the eBay sellers name? I will definitely be keeping an eye out for that deal.

Dyno

Anyone who has gotten this and feels the urge to post a dyno chart for HP and Torque gains.... let me know.

Also... have you noticed any MPG increase/decrease since installing the catback system? I'm wondering how much the sound and performance increases are worth.... $400 maybe... but right now I'm like you and can't find it any cheaper than $600, and I know it's not worth $600 to me. That's equivalent to a 3 day vacation for me and my fiancé.

The sound is awesome. It's perfect when I'm cruising but when I get on it, it just screams. Sounds like a mustang and definantly turns heads. :D Crusing on the freeway there is very little interior drone.

Not sure about MPG as it's been artic here in NE Ohio lately so I've been chugging through gas.

single or dual pipes out the rear, also any chance of a sound clip or video of yours?

I know you said there is very little drone, but how would you compare noise on city and freeway driving vs. stock. I like the sound when I punch it, but I dont want to upset the wife. :)

Hows this... lets say I put the exhaust on... then my wife drives the Ex... will she notice? :)

I'd say she would notice it. It's fine at 65-70 but 80-85 you can definantly hear it. Through the city, the only time I hear it is if I give it some gas. Just crusing from light to light, it's not much louder then stock. If I have the radio on though (not really that loud) I don't even notice it. Maybe I'm just used to the noise though. I had an SLP Loud Mouth on my 2004 GTO...now that was LOUD so this is a dream compared to that. lol.

Hmmm... I guess Im more worried about a freeway drone... my freeway crusing speed is normally around 80mph. Why dont you drive down to California and give me a test drive?

Just in case anyone is interested, there is another auction on Ebay for this Magnaflow Exhaust for the V8. This time it is only $339 plus shipping!! It is from the same guy I got mine from and he has 20 available.

Im gunna have to get that. :) BTW how much does it cost approx to get this installed?

I have no idea how much it would cost to get it installed. My roomate is a mechanic so he helped me put it on. Only cost me $10 but that was just for the beer :D

Were you there for the install? is it all bolt on stuff? From what I read somewhere, it sounded like some cutting might be involved... and I dont think my sissors will work. :)

Yes, I was there. It is all bolted together, in 3 places I think, but one of the bolts is pretty inaccessable where it goes over the rear axle. We ended up having to cut the exhaust to get it off. If you have an Autozone near your house, you can rent a pipe cutter for free. Installation of the new one is just all bolt on.

Hmm.. I definatly tempted to try it myself then. I just home it doesnt get too loud combined with my KKM.

hmpf.... watched the video and i´m dissapointed. Expected more for 400 bucks. It´s close to my exhausts´ sound, and i´ve only thrown the first muffler ( was a rattle inside between iddle and 2000 rpm ). I would even guess mine sounds a little deeper, will see if I get the time within the next days to make a little video or at least a soundfile for you guys.
