My exhaust arrived today from Hottexhaust in Ontario, took about 5 business days to BC which was great. Had it installed by the local Budget and Muffler garage, took them about an hour.
As i was observing them through the glass my heart sank a little as three of them were looking at the exhaust and scratching their heads, it was a bit of tight fit but all went well.
They managed to get the standard exhaust off without cutting, is it worth keeping?
Having read some of the replies on here and watching a movie clip it does not do the exhaust justice.
It has a lovely deep throaty purrr / grunt to it and you can certainly hear it when you boot it especially in traffic, it certainly is not offensive but not quiet.
Not sure what the in laws are going to think as I drive them around in a couple of weeks and have to get it past the Mrs too.
Ok so it did not pass the Mrs test, very disappointed as i love it
The wife and I do some longish trips together and she is not a fan and an unhappy wife = unhappy life.
Having it removed tomorrow and the stock fitted back on so it is for sale.
Hope i am not breaking any forum rules by selling it on here?

No offense but I cannot believe how many people out there let their wives run their lives. I've got the Magnaflow on my Explorer as well and it's really quiet. I bet if you hadn't told her she never would have even known. She's just making a fuss over nothing. Take it back to the muffler shop and have them get rid of the Magnaflow tip and weld a factory looking pipe on the back. Tell her it's back to stock. She'll never know.
No offense taken.
I said nothing, certainly is loud enough for her to notice, there was no hiding that.
Guess i am a bit of a sucker for an easy life.
As for taking the tip off and doing a bit of welding, I think the best option is to sell it. Thanks for your advice tho.
It has been a good excercise and as Ironman007 mentioned, perhaps it is for single folk.
