I just hit 100,000 miles on my 97' Mountaineer (just like an X). Besides the standard stuff like oil, tranny fluid, and filters (oil, air, tranny), what are some things that should be checked out and/or changed?

I recently changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, and plug wires. I've heard that it's a good idea to change the O2 sensors, it that true? Anything else I should look at?

Try checking your factory service manual.

eh O2 sensors should be ok unless you're having problems that point to them. Might want to change your PCV valve, clean the MAF, change diff fluid, shocks depending on how old they are, belt...

Inspect your front suspension - ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. Factory ball joints rarely make 100k miles.

Wouldn't be a bad time for new shocks if you are on originals.
