K&N install problem

well i jsut finnished instaling a K&N FIPK 2 on my Sport...BUT the mounting bracket, the one that you are supposed to hook to the alternator is not bent in the correct direction. for those of you that know, it is supposed to be bent in sort of a twisted L shape but the one i have is just a regualr L and it does not fit. do yall have anysugestions on where i can get this part or can i rig somethin up myself to secure the kit a little bit more firmly..

Vise grips and a bench vise, though mine didn't need any altering till after the body lift

not sure if this will help any, but I got a FIPK for my 5.0 Sploder, but they never made one that was "intended for use on the 96-97 with square filter" but I managed to make it mount ok.

well for me it was a hammer and the garage floor ...but i got somethin that looks like it will work...now i jsut need to go and get a bolt
