Keyless Entry Problem! Need Help Asap!

i have a 2002 xlt and when i hit the lock button twice on the keypad its suppose to shut all the lights off and beep once for the alarm. now when i hit lock button twice, the lights stay on and the horn beeps twice, im assuming beeping twice to let u know something is wrong... i stood there thinking the lights would go off after 30seconds or so. NO! the lights have been staying on for 15MIN+! its the mirror lights and interior lights. need help asap..

I had the same fault, open the drivers door and pull back the wiring boot in the hinge area, I think I pushed it into the door. Then check each of the wires. You will find one that is broken. I just spliced in a new wire and no more problems.

it seems like the cars computer thinks theres a door ajar... id follow that man's^ advice... check for a busted wire and see what u can do from there

yeah i always have the damn door ajar thing as well..
