Keyless remote not locking or unlocking car

My keyless remote will not unlock my car, I can go into program mode and the remote will program but when I exit program mode and try to use the remote the locks will not lock or unlock, what can my problem be please

Yes even purchased a brand new remote just in case the remote was the problem

After the 8 turns of the key, when you press the lock button on the remote, does it cycle the locks ?

Just went through the same issue.
Bought a new remote from dealership, programmed it. It was recognized by my truck, but would’nt lock/unlock. I took off the battery cable for 10 minutes and its been working fine since.
