I have an 02 ex sport(the posts that i found didnt help) and i cant find where the sticker is for the keypad on the door. i was told it was on the c piller but i removed the panel and didnt find it. if anyone could help it would be greatly apreciated.oh and by the way just for the record the car was bought at a salvage so it didnt have an owners manual so it didnt have a wallet card either.

Here is how to get the code.....Remove the upper trim where the seatbelt goes in to. You will also have to try to pull back the lower trim underneath that. There is a black computer module behind the lower trim. You will have to use a small mirror and slide into between the trim and computer module to see the 5 digit numbers. Actually, I didn't have a mirror so I used a blank CD-R to see mine. Remember, the numbers will be reversed in the mirror.

thanks for the help but is the black module behind the back passenger or behind the front passenger seat? baisicly is it under the quarter glass that opens out or is under the glass that u cant move?

The original poster is in the wrong forum. He has an 02 sport, which belongs in the 95-01 explorer forum, because they are on the same chassis. The person answering this post is responding to the location on the 02-05 explorer 4 doors.

Try searching the 95-01 forum, but the code is indeed in the jack storage compartment, and is actually quite hard to read because it's up against the plastic trim panel. In my mom's 2000 mountaineer, it's a white box, the code is in large font size, 5 digits.
