Kick panel enclosures/speakers

If I were to go with the Q Logic kick panels, whixh component speakers do you guys recommend? Which amp to power them?

I went with the Alpine SPR-176A (6.5" component set). I'm mounting the 6.5" in my door though, not sure if they will fit in the kick panels. If not, Alpine also has 5.25" component set. If you go with Alpine, just make sure you get an SPR model, much better than the SPS models.

Those kickpanel enclosures will only fit a 6.25" woofer in theory, but people have made 6.5" fit with a little ingenuity. I have the Audiobahn ABC5002 5.25" component set in mine, although because I haven't put my system together completely yet, I couldn't tell you how they sound.

i know a lot of people like kick panel component sets....

but a friend of mine had a stereo shop mount his set in the kickpanel, not in a q-logic thing, they did it custom...but he hates them mounted there, they get kicked and the grills get scraped up and bent, and he feels like his knees are blocking direct sound.
