I have a 12" Kicker L5. I am planning on getting a Directed Audio 750d to power the L5 but here's the catch: If possible I want to keep my stock head unit (in a 1996 4dr, 6 changer) but I definetly want to control the level of bass. I've seen amps with a small volume control which I guess you can put near the drivers seat. Can I buy a remote thing like this and hook it to this amp? Is this even a good idea? I want loud bass but I want to be able to control it. Tell me your opinions. Thanks.

Well it shipped out today with 5 coupons (sorry about the wait) i'll msg you the tracking # when they send it but as far as with a stock head unit you will need to buy a line convertor I believe its called to be able to hook up the amp and you will be able to control the bass with the amp BUT thats it no treble no SQ settings so it will not sound great. I would pull the stock 6 disk and sell it (they go for atleast $75 sometimes $100) and you can atleast get a decent aftermarket head unit for that with RCA outputs/inputs.
