kind of dumb question about lines

What are these lines. I know the one going to the filter is the line to the engine and the ribbed line is the brake line. What are the other two lines? I searched and did not find anything. Thanks.

My guess, without crawling under mine in the freezing cold, would be something to do with the evap system? One might be a fuel return line.
 






yeah i had mine parked in a heated garage when i took that picture so :) and i would guess one would be the return line but im not sure which one, and i need to know what is what for what i am doing. Thanks
 






I think the smaller one is the fuel return and the larger is the line from the carbon canister to the evap purge valve.

With 98, you might not have a fuel return, in that case I'm not sure.

yeah this is from the 98 i should have said that, but the smaller one is the fuel return and the larger one the line going to the evap canister, thanks, do you guys happen to know how much fuel flows through the return line, compared to the line going to the motor i mean? Thanks for all the help

I think it varies depending on what is needed by the engine. More is returned at idle, less returned when cruising down the road. The basic way the system works is to try to maintain a certain pressure at the fuel rail so the same pressure is always available to the injectors (the amount of fuel injected is controlled by the amount of time the injectors are held open - longer time = more fuel). The fuel pump pressurizes the fuel rail, and the excess is returned by the return line.
