Can a KKM filter be cleaned with a K&N filter cleaning kit? I already have the K&N cleaner kit and it would save extra money if I could do it.

Yep there should be instructions with the cleaning kit.

Yeah, its the same thing.

Aside from price, sine the KKM is much cheaper, but is it worth getting that over a K&N FIPK? I'm looking to replace a K&N flat filter.

KKM and K&N FIPK are physically pretty much the same;
the difference is the K&N one is CARB certified, only an issue if you have emissions testing in your state.
A lot of 1st gen people have KKM's because on a 1st gen truck, there is no K&N cone filter made.

Is it possible to over-oil the filter? If so, what would be some clues that I did so? I cleaned mine recently but I think I might have used too much oil.

You might throw a CEL, all that oil might get on the MAF wires.....which means more cleaning! :(
