The slip yoke will cause a "clunk" sound or feel when coming to a stop. A bad kevlar patch on the torsion bar adjuster will cause a "clanking" noise when going over anything but the smoothest of surfaces.
ron, i havent done anything yet... i dont know how free i will be this weekend though because im getting a lot of 100K maintenence done this weekend sometime, but i think we could work out a time. when are you free?
What type of bolts are those that hold the driveshaft to the differential flange? Are there any special tools needed for them? Will a 12 point socket work on those?

I wasn't able to do to lubricate the slip yoke the other night. Too many other things got in the way. I will be doing it over the weekend though. The clunking is driving me nuts. Time to bust out the air compressed grease gun and might as well do the entire chassis while I'm doing it.
