Knocking noise in trunk, driver's side panel

I'm hearing this knocking noise inside the panel that is located in the trunk on the driver's side. The only thing I could think of without opening the panels is the door lock actuator. There is still a knocking noise even when the engine is not running, but stops on the ACC position. Any suggestions?

You haven't kidnapped any midgets and forgot about them?

Can you pull of the trim panel and have a look
 






Does the noise change or go away if you adjust the rear heat/AC temp control? If so, then I would say it is the rear blend door actuator.

I will post up more info when I get home tonight.
 






I found out that it is the rear fan. As I turn off the rear fans, the knocking noise stops. So now, how would I go about and fixing that issue...would it be a fuse or would I have to get down and dirty and get in deep.
 






Would anyone know which fuse is for the rear fans, if there is any?
 






Your problem sounds like a stripped blend door actuator. There are many posts on here about how to change it. The part is cheap and I did it in maybe 2 hours.
