Picked up a '95 EX XLT and a few dash light bulbs are out and I'd like to get them before ripping into the dash. The "owners guide" says 194 for instruments, 1815 for headlamp switch; anyone know which bulbs for the 4x4 selector and the rear window defroster switches (if any)? Any chance blue bulbs will shine thru blue or is that green in the guage going to block it?
Off topic, anyone know what the 16-pin connector is between the parking brake and hood release? It's behind a cover. Thanks.

Not sure about the lights...but the connector is most likely your OBD II connector.

I thought '95 was still ODB, not II. I found the connectors in the engine compartment that hook up to the same reader as my 88 BII.

I can help you with your dash problem. Your dash should have twist locking bulb holders in the back of it like my 98. my bulbs are also 194/168 i replaced mine with Blue LEDs and they shine thru blue for the most part just not really wide beam pattern cuz i need to sand them down. the green will throw the blue a little off but it comes out almost like a sea green color looks cool actually. i got a site for the bulbs and theyre good price only downside is they come from china so it takes about a week to get here lol.

This is the link for a batch of 50 blue LEDs for 16 bux. great deal.

heres a pic of mine after the swap. lol pay no mind to the check engine light it was only a code 430 ( catalyst system efficiency below threshold ) im a environmental nightmare :D

notice the needles are lit but the gauge lettering ain so bright.

That looks good! I guess I'll try the blue after all. Thanks!

No problem at all man. just do some reasearch to find out what kind of bulbs u like. you can usually find what bulbs u need on ebay or the site i gave you for cheap. most american sites mark them up like 50 times what they are on chinese sites.
