KW-AVX810 defective ?

installed JVC KW-AVX810 replaced all speakers with infinitys 700watt sub and at high volumes the front speakers ( not the back ) are making a cracking sound , i turned the cutoff down and highs pass and problem is gone , does this mean the system is defective ? and return it ? like i said its only the fronts, i know the output is only 20 watts any thoughts thx

When running off the HU's amp, its hard to get good sound without distortion of some sort at high volume. What is the RMS rating of your speakers? The speakers RMS rating should match the RMS rating of your headunit to get the best sound. That is atleast my understanding and I could be wrong.

RMS on speakers are 60watts i get the scratching sound only in the front speakers tho not rear at high volumes i thought maybe a bad front channel or going bad

walked into a best buy today heard a system using the internal amp ok then with a external amp sounded TONS betterso i know what to do now , factory componets just suck period !!!!!
