 ok, well I have the little L.E.D.'s to put in my running boards like Russ. I was just wondering if I need to get any wires and run them to the running boards or is there are already some close to them so I can connect them? I want my likes just like Russ's, to come on with the parking lights and blink with the blinkers.

Can anybody help me?
Maybe there is a write-up?
also... can somebody draw me a diagram of what I would need to do?
I appreciate it!

I still need to drill whole in the running boards to put the lights through so the white ear mounts dont show.

THANKS!
-Evan

P.S. Should I mount them where they are in the pictures or even with the line of the doors?

Instead of those you could get those LED strips.. they come in various lengths, I think anything from 6" to 2 or 3 feet... I think they just glue on or something, and they have little chrome ends... I think you can also cut them to fit...

As for the lighting, either having them on with parking lamps or wiring them as turn signals would work fairly easily, but doing both might be a little difficult... I know that on the first gens the brake lights act as the turn signals as well... the flasher unit alternately connects and disconnects the power to brake part of the lights for its given side... That allows the turn signals to work regardless of whether or not the brake lights are on... Or, at least that's what I think happens. You would want a similar setup for your LEDs, except rather than using the brake light you're using the parking lamp... I think the only simple way of doing it would be to duplicate the brake light/turn indicator wiring from a first gen, replacing the brake light power with the parking lamp power...

I think the rear light wiring is on the driver's side floorboards, just under the sill. I suppose you would have to tap into that and then run each side separately... A better idea might be to just run a dedicated wire from your battery/fuse box/power distribution box through a relay, although how you would set that up is beyond my comprehension at the moment... I'm too tired to think anymore...

Hope that helps...

What I'm going to do, is I'm going to get a few more of these lights, Or maybe I'll find some other ones that use glue and dont have ear mounts... Kuz I dont want to have to cut holes in the running boards other than for the wires.

Russ just ran a 16guage wire (About 4 feet long on each side) and connected it to where he has his alternating blinkers hooked up (As I have the alternating blinker set-up too)

He said to just tap them with the other wires that are connected. Here is a video of what I would like to do.

I need to find some other lights and put about 3 along each running board.

Anybody know where I can get some good L.E.D. Lights like this that use Glue??
