Ladder rack

I have a 93 Explorer 4 door xlt model. I just got a job for a cable company were i use this explorer for my job. Well I need to mount a ladder on top of it for the job and have the stock luggage rack installed. Promblem is that the luggage rack isnt build to hold a ladder of this size. I can get the ladder strapped to the rack but it wants to slightly slide around because of lack of support. And just its a pain in the neck haveing to fight to strap it on everytime i need it for a job. Is there any sort of aftermarket ladder rack that can be installed on he suv or even modify a truck one to fit on top of the explorer. Any suggestions are grealtly appreciated.

Put the rear seats down, open the hatch glass, and have it hanging out the back?

The rails on that roof rack are adjustable. You can loosen them to move the rails wherever you want them...Ray S. in PA
