I was also advised in the past from REDRIG I think, he said to get a larger throttle body. Is there any specific type in particular, or do I just walk into NAPA and be like I need a Larger throttle body for a 92 Explorer 4x4 XLT.

What does this cost usually, and do I need a mechanic to put it in?

Also, are there any warnings about this, I am trying to give my truck more power and If there is any other thing I must do as well I need to know. I know If I got a new Cam Rod Shaft I'd need new Valves too right?

Basically Im trying to take as few steps as possible without spending 3k per step. After I get all these mods done, I want to get it machined and bored.

Anything else you guys think will add power and performance to my truck please throw it in. ;)

You have a 6 cyl right? For a larger throttle body, you can get a BBK 66mm throttle body. I believe they're like $150 or so brand new?? Could be wrong..

The 66mm BBK throttle body is the one you want, probably goes for around $200, haven't priced them in a while. You do not need a mechanic to install it, it is very easy to do yourself. Along with that, you should upgrade to a 70mm MAS to match the increased airflow area of the larger throttle body. Also, a conical filter will help as well. If you go for the MAS, make sure you get the one that matches your intake filter (stock or calibrated for cone filter). The MAS also goes for around $200 and an intake kit is around $90. All of these you can do yourself very easy in a short time.
