My Drivers side hub is and was clunking and not engaging-disengaging.
I took off the drivers side hub and cleaned it out, soaked in in ATF reinstalled it and it is still clunking.
I realized after searching here, I am not sure what too look for. The hub had some kind of piece inside it that moved up and down when I turned the hub over. No spring that I could see. Is that right?
On the axle, everything *seemed* fine but I am not sure hat to look for. The plastic piece had no obvious flaws - it had pointed ears and some smaller square tabs. IS there a link I can follow here that caches out details? My Haynes is crappy, I have an early edition I guess.
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah!!
