Now that I've taken to looking under the hood more often, I flipped through the Haynes manual last night -- wow, I feel more educated today!

I found a leak in a small valve (?) near the AC accumulator. The leak/drip comes at about 2 second intervals while the engine is running. The valve connects 4 tubes -- 2 that go through the firewall, one to the AC compressor, and one to the accumulator. There is a single wire that comes out the top.

What is it?

The leak is coming from the heater control valve. Mine leaked too, don't remember how much it cost. Basically, what the part does is when you turn the heat on, vacuum is applied to it, and it opens and allows coolant to flow through the heater core inside the dash.
