leaking front differential

My front differential appears to be leaking. Its a 1995 Sport with Control Trac 4wd and a manual transmission. Is this something to be concerned about? When the front wheels turn in 2wd is the front diff. turning as well or do the hubs allow the wheels to spin without spinning the diff.? I'll get this fixed I am just wondering how urgent it is, if everyday driving (2 wheel drive) will cause any damage.

I thought I had that leaking but it turned out to be my trans cooler. My dad had a seal leaking for awhile before he fixed. Its not too urgent but you should definately fix it sooner or later.
