My 94 XLT was giving codes 172 an 176,lean condition left and right sides. I replaced the o2 sensors and now am getting only 172 lean condition on the right side. Does anybody have any ideas?

This is usually caused by intake gaskets but you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

That's a Negative on the vacuum leak. Adding more air will cause the injectors to add more fuel resulting in a "rich" condition. Unless it's a severe leak which would be obvious. Disconnected brake booster hose, etc.

Get some MAF cleaner and clean the MAF, replace the air filter while your in there. (DO NOT USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN MAF CLEANER AND DON'T BRUSH OR TOUCH THE MAF IN ANY WAY) Just spray it.

Then reset the computer by disconnecting both battery cables for 2 minutes.

You will need to drive it for 6 drive cycles before going to emissions again. It is necessary for the PCM to "relearn" or it will report "not ready to test"

A drive cycle is cold start to full operating temp and then allowed to fully cool, rinse and repeat.

Is MAF cleaner the same as throttle body cleaner or is it a unique item?

It's different.

oh yea take from experience i made that mistake ONCE..... using the wrong type of cleaner on a MAF sensor screwed it up big time had to replace and don't use any kind of cleaning brush on the end of the sensor element it's a very touchy sensor.
