'98 Sport
Been an Explorer owner since '92, have a '98 Sport now. Love it and want to keep it for years to come, but it's going under the knife next week. So, I'm trying to educate myself.

'98 4.0

I'm having an '02 4.0 installed. Just want to be up to speed when I deliver the Sport to my mechanic. Intake swap? Header swap? Computer flash? It all sounds reasonable, but I'm NOT a mechanic!!! This same guy swapped out my brother-in-law's '98 4.0 for an '01. He didn't hesitate saying he could do it.
I just like to know the why's and wherefore's for my own peice of mind.
No pictures. It's a stock higher end Sport, black. It's the only one I've ever seen with the SOHC emblems on the front fender.

Yeah- and they'll make you do things to your Explorer that you really don't want to- just so they think you're cool...
