Has anyone installed hyperwhite LED bulbs for the lic plate frame lights? If so, recommendations on the specific brand / part number that will fit a 2014 would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Darren

I have read through, and yes, there is great info. I did not locate any specific brands or part numbers that people have used for the lic. plate.

Any specific suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks!

I got all my LEDs from superbrightleds.com - I don't think the exact ones I bought are still available (I got them 2 years ago) and the quality isn't the highest (variance in colour temp between what are supposedly the same colour bulbs) but they're reasonably priced and delivered quickly. There are also loads available on ebay. The licence plate bulbs are the same wedge type as the interior map lights, 2nd row reading lights (with moonroof) and glovebox light. I changed all mine at the same time.

Yes, the replacement bulbs are SMD194 wedge bulbs. In the front dome lights I used bulbs with 9 individual LED lights on it and in the rear I used the shorter ones with only 5.

Same for the License Plate.

Did you use resistors on those as well? Also confused as an earlier post saif that a 9 LED bulb would not fit for the lic. plate. Thank so much for the info.

Sorry for the late response, I didn't use resistors, I have had no issues with this setup. And the 9 bulb fit no problem.
