I'm seeing some strange Left and Right on dash monitors self shutdown issue after latest Sync update. It happens quite often (every one hour I would say) without any reason the left (tachometer, fuel gauge, etc) and the right (small navi, entertainment, phone) monitors are going black for few seconds and then coming back on (sort of reset). Interesting enough that main touch screen monitor is fine during this reset. Anybody else experienced that? (Explorer Sport 2014)

I think I recall another post on this same issue.

Have you cycled the power (pulled the battery cable or fuse pull) or done a master reset?

That would be my first step.

Hi, dolph2709,

I haven't heard of this happening after a MyFord Touch update; I suggest a visit to your dealership so they can get this resolved for you. Let me know how it goes.

Rebecca

Take a look at the TSB sticky on the main forum thread. I believe there is a TSB for this.

This is not normal behavior and is not a typical problem either. In my 2.5 years on this forum I have seen maybe 3 similar posts.

I posted about that issue before. I have the same issue. I had something else go wrong today. While driving it would say entertainment in the phone menu and flash back and forth. Took a video. I'll try to post it.

Try reboot app. I found that after each update its a good thing to reboot MFT.
After last update phone would not all ways connect when using voice. After reboot no problem. Imputing addresses in nav very fast now. I'm loving it.

Did you ever get this issue fixed?

Peter
