hi i didnt see anyone else with this problem unless i over looked it, its a 01 sport. few weeks back i heard what i that was bad brake pads, almost sounded like there wasnt no pad left only metal to metal. so i replaced pads only find the old ones was maybe half worn, and only thing i noticed that might have cause the noise was the old ones did not have shims, the new ones did, i put the new ones on and the noise went away, only to find out is has come back tonight or i noticed it tonight who knows how long its been doing it, it stopped after i changed brake pads, i carefully inspected everything while i changed the pads, and found nothing to be a problem.
what is more interesting is its only the front left, and only does it at slow speeds lighty touching the brake pedal, going down the road normal braking never hear it, and everything rides fine, im pretty sure its not a bearing, but im not a 100% it doesnt really sound like like one, but im lost on this. to gave yall a even better ideal imagine driving in a parking lot just idling around with your foot on the brake pedal as soon as u push it is sounds as the pistons are pushing right into the rotor.
