I just installed a new head unit and 2 new kenwood 6x8's in the rear. I left the front speakers stock. Now everythings in and the headunit works fine along with the right side speakers. But the new speaker on the drivers side doesnt work. All i can hear is a very tiny amount of static sometimes and the front stock speaker in my truck has sound coming out but its very low. Could it be a problem with the head unit? I wouldnt doubt a connection is mixed up but we double checked. I have a panasonic cq-c7403u head unit and a 1994 X 4 door. I forget the exact model of the kenwoods. Ill Get pictures of the install and specs soon.

If you are hearing static, it sounds like there is a wire fault somewhere along the line.
It actually sounds like the unit is accidently grounding somewhere.

You think the head unit could be grounding? I mean the ride side works fine. And im almost positive the left speakers were working before i replaced the head unit. Thanks for the lead, ill investigate it.

Maybe not the radio, but the speaker it self.

ok now both left side speakers emit sound but its much lower than the right side. and when i balance it to the left they don't make any sound...
